Why AI adoption fails without governance
By Faber Jimenez · 28 May 2026

Most organisations do not have an AI problem. They have a governance problem that only becomes visible once AI is switched on.
When access, data ownership and accountability are unclear, a promising pilot quietly stops. The model works; the organisation around it does not.
The fix is unglamorous: define who owns which data, what good looks like, and where a human stays in the loop. Do that first, and adoption follows.
AI that removes real work only happens when the plumbing and the permissions are settled. Start there, not with the demo.
